Fherot
Hey all, I just picked up my Benelli Supernova Tactical in the Desert Camo finish and there are areas where a rough gray surface is visible where the camo is thinned or missing. Spot where info is stamped onto the barrel, under the front sight hood, around front of receiver where barrel locks etc. Is this rough gray surface the exposed metal or is this a primer coat that Benelli applies to the bare metal before coating it in Desert camo? Thanks for any info.
Bello
ya they wear and tear fast those camo colors; benellis paint jobs are known to suck...
tucker301
It's a primer that's applied before the gun is dipped (not painted). No worries. It will be fine.
Fherot
Thanks. And it isn't wear yet it's just where the dip didn't reach. I was just making sure it wasn't going to rust on me or something. I know you don't HAVE to but it's my only camo'ed gun so I'll probably keep the habit of wiping it down with a ballistol rag.
