Why would I order the CC tube over an FFT tube that I could have today? because it is several thousandths of an inch thicker, and the magazine-tube is a major structural component. The 1/2" FFT charging-handle is a very good substitute until the CC charging-handle can be had. I have one myself, and it's beautifully machined and weighs within half a gram of Kip's. It is over 20% lighter than the factory CH and should improve function, technically. Also, it is a touch longer than Kip's, which some people may actually prefer.
