this didn't seem right...benelli m4

Recommended Posts

so I dismantled my brand new m4 mag tube for the very first time to install my new carriercomp tube...but when my oem follower came out, it was all red aluminum. I have read on various tutorials that the oem follower is black plastic or something. this one that I got looks like the same exact one that came with my carrier comp tube. did benelli change the factory followers down the line sometime? I bought mine from kygunco late last year.

My M4 and every single one that I saw in the Marine Corps had a black plastic follower with a removable red center plastic indicator. I transferred the red indicator to the black follower that came with the CC mag tube I bought many years ago. IIRC, some of the Euro M4s have a red alum follower though.

If you don't want that follower, I will take it off of your hands for ya.

This has been reported in the past year or so. Marcy at carriercomp was asking me about it a few months back. Looks like it is an inline production change.

sorry guys I'm holding on to ask my stock parts including my five round tube. so it's not for sale as I am probably going to use it in my supernova...but thanks for the replies...I'm guessing benelli upgraded their M4 followers.
