G22
Hi all, I just got a Benelli M1 Super 90 & have a question. I read the assembly instructions and put it together which leads me to my question. I had the bolt locked back and inserted the barrel until it clicked. I replaced the fore end cap on the magazine tube and pushed the slide release button and the bolt snaped forward to the barrel. It appears that there are slots in the barrel that the bolt/breach face lock into. My question is should I still see the locking lugs on the front of the bolt (chrome) when it is in the forward most position? The lugs seem to be locked into the barrel correctly after the bolt is released. Without the barrel on, the chrome part of the bolt cannot be seen when in the forward most position. Thanks in advance
wallhanger54
Yes your gun is ok. The reason its like that is that the bolt is too far forward when you dont have the barrel on. And you will still see part of one locking lug on the bolt when its in battery. Its all spring pressure. Dont try to over analyze it just take it out and have some fun with it.
