Did you splice the wire or could you get a longer one from Surefire? Have any pics of the activation pad?

Did you splice the wire or could you get a longer one from Surefire? Have any pics of the activation pad? Those ones had a 40” Surefire tape switch, I don’t believe they sell them anymore. The switch was routed into the stock and the pad was cut into a pocket beneath the rubberized pistol grip. So you’d activate it like a pair of CTC laser grips. The excess wire was stowed in the void or the buttstock. I milled a groove for the wire along the inside of the grip. Here is the grip with the rubberized overmold removed. The biggest issue was these old pads had a lot of dead spots in them. The newer ones are better, but there are no 40” options. jimbo45
Here are mine both with strike forends and the entry threaded for standard ckokes. The salvo now stays on that one in the 8" config. Titanium fft tube on the 18" and I'll get a carrier comp tube for the entry at some point.

Much better than the factory. The only thing I don't like is the color. LOL
Launch
My M4 looks just like any other right now, but the custom case with a benelli flashlight and a interestingly gripped knife with a matching serial number is pretty unique. The only downside is the case is a bit oversized, and the foam isn’t cut in a way that permits adding an RMR, a light, or a stock with an adjustable length of pull so I might have to buy another pelican case. 3

03svt
Just finished mine up for now. Got the trigger and new frame back from Briley and screwed a butt stock on. I have an OEM muzzle brake and a couple other parts on the side. Love this thing, just have to shoot it now 3

Vertigofirearms
hmmm apparently European M4 14" are threaded for choke tubes, presumably for the stand off breacher. 2
StrangerDanger
If I recall, Steve Rose at Rose Action Sports will thread a 14” barrel for muzzle devices.

ClackClackBAM
It just occurred to me that I haven't posted a single photo of my M4 since I finished it last month. I'll find a good background then snap some pics.
