cityhunter Posted May 21, 2023 Share Posted May 21, 2023 I bought Benelli 828U in 20 guage. I had few Berettas before so it was exciting to start with Benelli o/U. As the fitting was not perfect so planned to change shim for better fit..as I tried to open the stock bolt nut..it was tight like never experienced before on any of my previous experiences with any other shotgun..eventually was able to remove the nut and put a different shim . The stock bolt could not take the nut as it had gone bad due to wrong size nut affixed on it during assembling. The right size of nut required was M8-1.0 in fine thread however the nut removed was 5/16-24 as I end up checking it .. This caused a lot of wastage of time not to mention thar I end up paying for new Stock Bolt without a nut as nut never came wory it..I live in Canada and US refused to send me the required stock bilt which had gone bad because of the fault at assembly plant of Benelli. What a experience. And what a bad taste of Benelli..I hope it shoots much better than this experience. The customer service shall be equipped to help the customers , not to make a difficult time consuming experience full of frustration.. Beware and be careful on changing the shim on your Benelli..
