cutler686
this may seem like a dumb question to you but i am a little confused about something... why am i not suposed to use steel shot w/ my "F" and "IM" chokes. It seems that the only reason why i would use these tighter grouping chokes is for larger game, and you can't hunt with lead shot.... What am i missing here? Thanks for any help at all, feel free to direct me to a previous post if this was gone over in the past. Thanks again cutler
mudhen
Steel shot is harder than lead and can bulge those tighter chokes. It's just one of the many bad features of steel shot... mudhen - CA
Remy
Actually you can hunt with lead shot. Turkey and most upland game as well as rabbits in most states. Also, I think you can still hunt ducks in Mexico with lead.
splashtx556ftw
steel shot does NOT compress like lead will. it can damage the choke. ''voice of experience''
