jainsw
Just bought an SBEII with a 28" barrel primarily for duck hunting. I patterened it at 35 yards with 3" #3 shot with a improved/modified choke and the patterned seemed very tight with probably 95% inside a 20" circle. My question is does the length of the barrel significantly contribute to the pattern size in steel shot? In other words, all other things being equal, would a 26" barrel increase the shot pattern in this same situation?
tucker301
The barrel length has very little to do with the pattern density. A 26" or even a 24" would pattern nearly identically. Watch episode #

I can always drop back to an IC to open it a bit. Thanks
