The trigger is a bit heavy, but it's not adjustable and there is no aftermarket trigger for the R1.

 

Benelli has seen numerous posts on this, so hopefully they are taking steps to at least lighten it somewhat.

Obviously, they are going to keep safety first and foremost in any trigger design, and one slam fire from a semi-auto can cripple a gunmaker in liability.

 

It would be completely at your own risk, and would obviously void all warranties, if you decided to have some stone work done by a skilled and competent gunsmith.
