wigeonkiller
I just traded my montefeltro for a new M2 12/28 in max camo. When I got it home I noticed that the forend would not slide all the way off the magazine tube. After reviewing the manual it seems as though it should. It also looks like there is a small crack in the forend at the last connecting bridge on the barrel side of the forend closest to the receiver (I'll try to post a picture later). Has anyone else had this problem? Please provide some advise. Also, What's with the case? It seems like they are using the same case that my 4 year old montefeltro came with. Unfortunately the choke tubes are no longer short enough to fit in choke tube slots. And, the trigger does not fit in the receiver slot without sliding it into an opening below the top piece of plastic. Are they running behind on the case design or did my dealer give me the wrong case? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
tucker301
My SBE2's forend slightly hangs when sliding off. I just back it up and push it off with a bit of force. Sort of like closing a pump action.
cdogg44
The forend will be tight. Slide it on and off several times and it will get easier. As far as the case, I just bought a new full case because breaking the gun down all the time was going to get really annoying.
wigeonkiller
You don't understand, this thing is tight. Plus I'd hate to have the aforementioned crack turn into a break.
benddg
My SBE II is the same way. Have to force the forearm off. I've gotten to where I leave it on and remover the barrel with the forearm still on the gun. As for the crack I'd call Benelli about that. cdogg44
Trust me, mine was plenty tight the first time I tore it down. I just pulled hard enough and it came off. Now it slides off with ease. Just pull harder, that's what Benelli is going to tell you (that's what they told me to do...).
