msm1018
My question here is, What Benelli, (thinking M1 Field) would make me a happy hunter? My quarry is Grouse first then heavy pheasant hunting for a week every year with some ducks thrown in for good measure when theres actually water in this state. I will be getting the Montefeltro short stock later on for my grouse adventures, but that another story and 1250$ later. Will the M1 Field fit the bill?? thanks, oh and I don't really like the looks of the M2, just a personal preference.
LBDB1A
msm1018, i have a M1 Field that i use for dove, ducks, geese and sporting clays. I have had it for two yrs. and it performs flawlessly. I have the Wood stock model. You need to see if it "points and feels good" to you before you buy. If you are satisfied with the feel of the gun , it wll do anything you require. I also have a M2 which i like also. Larry
msm1018
I was looking at the Franchi 912 and I like it but its safety in the front of the trigger gaurd, only thing I didn't like about it and if I'm not mistaken gas operated? (which I like) but I did see the Franchi 48 AL Field, Short stock and I really like that, Small, safety in the back, not too pricey, overall perfect gun for me, and my grouse hunting adventures. The 12 gauge will do my heavier hunting jobs.
