tucker301
It's been a couple of years, but as I recall the rail is tapered and is marked as to which end goes to the front by an arrow. Check to see if some screws are longer than others. If they are, use the longer screws in the thickest part of the base. As far as the holes being plugged, they may be. I can't remember. It should be pretty easy to see whether or not there are rubber or hard plastic pugs in the holes. If there are, then disassemble the receiver, barrel assembly, remove the bolt, and push them out from the inside using a small punch. In other words, when looking into the holes, you should see threads. If they're still not working after all of this, then take it back to the dealer for assistance. GlennRoss
I had to have my threads tapped. They came un-tapped and the gun store (Jay's Sporting Goods in Claire, MI -- very reputable) stated they come "un-tapped". The holes are plugged. Other than that it was really easy . Good luck, Glenn
