masonalex
Just got my SBE II and I am impressed. In reviewing the instructions, I saw that the imp. mod. and full chokes cannot be used with steet shot. Can they be used with other "non-toxic" shot? Thanks
sbeIIfan
If they cant be used with steal shot or non-toxic shot, what is the point of the choke? Think about that for a second.

masonalex
sbeIIfan, Let me ask it another way. I understand these chokes can be used with lead shot, but can I legally hunt ducks with them?
sbeIIfan
Probably not. Just by non toxic.
tucker301
The chokes can be used with non-toxic shot such as Bismuth, Tungsten, Hevi-shot, but most people find that the patterns actually open up when using those shot types in tubes tighter than modified. One exception is the use non-toxic turkey loads through turkey chokes like the Rhino.
BLACK JACK
Mudhen informed me that I have a reading comprehension problem, so forgive me if I don't understand your second post. Are you asking if you can legally hunt ducks with the chokes labeled "not for steel shot"
tucker301
I disregarded everything after the first post, given the source of the response. However, since the issue has been raised. Yes, it's legal to use any choke for any game. Restrictions are mechanical, not statutory.
