Not much around today. Hunted for an hour before going to work.

I've owned 10-12 Benellis since buying this first one, but man I have many great memories of the damage this one has done over the years. Ducks, geese, pheasants, quail, grouse, hogs, deer, turks, etc...

mudhen,

That's a sweet looking SBE in your photo. It definitely has a lot of "character" and has seen many successful hunts. I just bought a new SBE from my local Sportsman's Warehouse-----it was the last SBE they had in stock. I opted for it over an SBE II because I like the looks of the original one and recoil does not bother me as much as some folks. After I add one of those X-Coil pads like you recommended, I don't think it will be bad at all.

Nice drake pinner------I have one similar to it mounted in my den. Anyway, I hope my gun looks like yours in a few years down the road------after mucho waterfowl harvests!

I think you made a very good choice, especially with the new prefit X-Coil.

The SBE I is certainly holding it's own with many actually preferring it. It will be a real workhorse for you I think...

Just 7 5/8" plucked.

I need at least an 8 5/8" to tie or win our local contest. I've got an 8 1/8" entered already.

I need to start picking out the really big bulls in the courtship flights, even though they don't eat as well...
