Belonged to a buddy of mine who was an alternate on the US Olympic Free Pistol Team for the '96 Games. It wasn't his Olympic competition pistol, though. They are designed for International style shooting, which is one-handed target type shooting, ala The Olympics or NRA Bullseye. The extreme angle of the grip causes one to line up certain muscles, ligaments and tendons in the forearm when aiming, resulting in a steady hold that doesn't fatigue as readily.
