SBE II Questions

I have had my SBE II now for close to 2 1/2 years. I have no complaints and have been very pleased with it. However, I shoot a LH gun and the only barrel length it comes in the Max 4 is 28".

I would prefer to cut it down for a shorter barrel, but I wanted to know if this is possible to do and still get it re-threaded with Crio-Plus threads.

What if I went with a different thread of say, a Beretta -- since I have a Beretta O/U.

One last thing, is there really any advantage of using the Crio-Plus tubes that would make me not want to do this.

Also if anyone knows of someone that can cut these barrels down and re-thread them, please let me know this too.

Thanks for any help you can offer!!

I bought a 24" SBE barrel for my SBEII LH, because where I grouse and pheasant hunt the 28" barrel feels like I'm swinging a telephone pole. My gun is black, but I still think you'd be better off buying the 24" SBE LH barrel and then having the camo coating added. There are a good handful of places that do this, and I'm sure Benelli could do it as well, though probably for more money. Just a thought.
