However, did they go with the M4 just because it functions a bit better with accessories and the gas system? For simplicity, you would have thought they would have picked the M1, or 2. Also, you gotta know its a **** of a gun for the Marines to pick it, because you know they damn sure didnt pick it for the price. Liberty or death Jr. Posted December 6, 2007 Share Posted December 6, 2007 You got it right, they picked the benelli because of reliability, and they chose the gas system on the M4 because with all the attachments of theirs, it can mess with the inertia system.
