steig Posted May 3, 2008 Share Posted May 3, 2008 My son is 13 and shoots trap league at the local rod and gun. He uses the Rem 870 12ga 26" barrel and does fairly well on his team. The last few times out he has been complaining of some shoulder soreness after two rounds of 5 station trap (50 shells). Novaking Posted May 4, 2008 Share Posted May 4, 2008 I have a limsavers recoil pad on my nova and it helps better than a recoil reducer with lighter loads. Recoil reducers help with heavier loads.
