Walker Information

I just purchased a US 1847 Walker from a pawn shop. SN 14750, made by A Ubert, Italy. 44 cal Black powder (of course). Model U.S.M.R. Cylinder engraving by Ormsby is of Indian battle. Would like to find place to get a history on this piece. As it was produced by Ubert and condition looks good, i do not fear firing it but would like opinion of others familiar with the piece first.

Has some very light surface rust in places. barrel has been scratched thru bluing on one side. bore and cylinder appears in great shape. Have recommendation concerning rust removal and perhaps reblue?

Thanks in advance.

Jim
