MOFOWLER
Put a box of 1 oz. steel 7's through my black eagle II and it never failed to cycle. Probably won't ever shoot that light, but nice to know I could without any problems.
Butch-M
Out of curiosity; what do you use 1oz steel 7's for?
MOFOWLER
One of the places I dove hunt requires steel shot. It was like pulling teeth to find ammo for those hunts
Butch-M
Oh ... it does sound like an odd load, particularly with steels low density and the "two sizes up rule." Thanks
john h
Hey, Mo Fowler. I'm just south of you here in Union, I shoot alot of those 1oz. win loads. Dicks in west co. at 270 & Manchester always has plenty on hand for 6.99 a box. I can tell you a mod. choke and about a 6-8' lead, will knock the tar out of Teal out to about 40 yards. I guess because they are light and fast? Don't really know how they work, But they do. Good Shooting! John P.S. I assume your talking about the cheap Xpert steel shot loads
