  1. I put one on my nova and am very happy with it. You will not believe how hard your stock pad is when you feel it side by side the comfortech. I was lucky and got mine off ebay for $30, so it was absolutely worth it. Plus I mainly waterfowl hunt with my 12ga nova ( have a nova 20 for everything else). I've heard they are going for 70 to 80 bucks at a lot of shops, dont know why they are so high.

On one of my last hunts last year I switched guns with a buddy. Mine was a Camo 28 inch nova with recoil reducer, extended choke tube, and Comfortech pad. His was a stock black 26 inch with no recoil reducer. It was like night and day. Biggest difference beside the kick was getting off a second shot. My gun recoverd 10 times faster.

If you are doing any serious shooting I recomend all the mods I have done. I never take out the recoil reducer anymore, even if target shooting. Still want to polish the forcing cones then I'll be done.

The nova is a great pump gun out of the box, but with a little work it can be the best.

  2. I just purchased an extended magazine for my 20 gauge Nova off ebay. It fits and functions perfectly. It is a benelli part , but it is a 3 round extention. I didn't know this existed. I thought all they made was the 4 round for the 20 and the 2 round for the 12.

Anyone else come across one of these? Anyone have any info on when these were made?

Now I just need a ticket to Argentina

  3. Great gun. I have a 20 black and a 12 camo. I painted my 20 camo on my own and almost like better than my 12 with the old HD camo. if you are going to be shooting heavy 3.5in loads, get the recoil reducer, it really makes a huge difference. I also put a comfortech recoil pad off of a sbeII on mine, that with the 28in barrel makes it one soft shooting machine.

  4. I use a factory benelli SBE II pad. Check Ebay, a guy was selling them on there. Paid 30 bucks for it. I got the 14 3/8 inch Length of pull version, I don't think the 14 inch is available yet. It was a brand new factory benelli part in the bag.

  5. You can use the new SBEII and M2 comfo tech pad on the nova. I just got mine and it fits perfectly. I would also use the in stock recoil reducer.

I was a little taken aback by the recoil on my Nova. I expected the heavier Nova to have less recoil than my lighter mossberg. not so.

A quick comparison of the recoil pads told the story. the one on the Nova is much, much harder.

Does anyone know of an aftermarket recoil pad for the Nova? Are the pads for any of Benelli's other guns compatible with the Nova?

    Thanks alot.

  7. I have had problems with my nova 20 also. My problem is that shells load from the magazine on top of the carrier and under the bolt while it is still closed, jamming the action. The only way to clear the action is to disassemble the firearm. I think this is caused by the carrier not locking in the up position while loading the magazine. I just sent my nova 20 into benelli for repair. I will let you know what happens. BTW I also own nova 12 that works flawlessly and is the reason I bought the 20.

As for your problem are the shells stuck between the magazine and the carrier or jammed like mine? Where did you find 2.5 inch shell? could be a problem.
