I'm thinking about trading my SBE II off on a new Supersport. What would be a good money difference or would I be better to sell it myself?

That's good to hear. How do you SuperSport shooters feel about using the gun for all around hunting?
-
Used one with my SBE I but it won't fit the SBE II got it taped for 40 bucks.Originally posted by Deerslayer:Has anyone used a B Square mount on the SBEII. Looking for a way to mount a scope on the receiver without having to tap reciever. Any suggestions??? Trying to make a setup for turkey hunting so I can use a dot sight. Thanks in advance!!

The case is the same one that came with the old SBE's that's why the new chokes don't fit they're longer. I was unhappy about that also. New gun old style case! Come on Benelli If you're going to improve the gun improve the case.

Sorry to hear about that it's got to make you sick I know it would me. It sure sounds to me like the gun is a total loss. I think when you start checking into the cost of the parts you'll find it will be cheaper to replace your loss with a used gun.

I got one for sale if anyone is interested. It's a Briley Choke for Turkey (S) special made for turkey within 45 yards and is straight rifled.

I'm with you JJpoor I don't like the way the finish is so easy to mark. You can buy flat black paint pen from Birchwood Casey but I would rather Benelli parkerize the finish on their guns. If I hang onto this one I'll send it out and have it refinished.

I have a slip-on LimbSaver pad that I carry in my ammo bag and use it when I sight in my gun for turkey loads that would have saved your hunt. I haven't had any problems with my SBE II pad but I also would be VERY upset if mine came up missing durning a hunt. It's hard to believe they didn't find that problem when they field tested the new stock.

Yep I agree with FIB. Friend of mine lost his bolt handle in the woods.

I don't know about a 1-10 scale but now it's the way it should have been from the factory.Originally posted by Pentale:If it was a '9' on a 1-10 scale of stiffness before, what would you all say it is after being "fixed"?

THANK YOU for your help and quick response.

Thank You Montefeltro!
Now I can go see Tom Knapp at Fin Feather & Fur Outfitters and not make faces at him.

You have to turn the wrench around then it will fit. Wish I would have kept my old wrench!

If so then it makes me wonder why you never hear from these people.Originally posted by birddog:makes me wonder if someone just added a profile and posted just to be a smart a$$....

Still waiting! The "few days" has turned into a month.Originally posted by Montefeltro:Gee whiz, Camo.....I thought I was helping you out. I relayed the info to our chief engineer in Italy, and just as I said before, I will post his reply. I can assure that prior to getting an answer, Benelli will research the issue. I expect an answer in a few days.
Stay tuned.....

That was a good review. I'm thinking about selling the new SBE II and gettin a M1 or M2.
-
I've thought of that JK but I didn't want to spend $2000 on a gun and have and extra barrel I'd never use. Guess I could try and sell the Sport II barrel to someone but what a pain!
-
I know sbebenelli. But I'd like one with a 24 or 26 inch barrel. If they offered a Sport II with a 24 inch barrel I'd have one today. I really like the looks of the gun and the way it points I'd just like the shorter barrel in the woods.

When I buy a gun for $1500 bucks and the company logo says:Originally posted by MASTERBLASTR:If you spent $1500 on a shotgun you should go and spend $30 with your gunsmith and quit abusing the people who is only trying to help you.
my 2 cents.
such a whiner for the price of three boxes of ammo.
if you don´t like the gun, go and get another but remember never talk bad about your "horse" or you will never sell it even at half price.
you only see the problem. when you should only see the solution.

I expect that to mean a smooth safety and a flawless working gun out of the box.
