Before you guys go spending lots of money on accessories, the M1 does not fair well with extra weight on her. It's a known issue that cycling problems will occur with extra weight on any inertia based model. By adding weight, you're reducing inertia in the gun which may limit it's ability to cycle the action reliably. Some people havn't had problems but more have. Just thought I'd drop a warning.

M1014, is that a custom shroud? I 've never seen one on a Benelli before.

Great choice!! Nothing wrong with the M1 at all, I have one. It IS the Cadillac of Shotguns. You did very well for your first scattergun. Just make sure you feed it good ammo. Something with a high dram equivilent, (higher power). Don't hang a bunch of accessories on it either. The extra weight affects the cycling which may cause loading failures. just couldnt justify the $ for the M1014 but more so i got the M1 because it was my first shotgun, no point getting a cadilac if i cant drive so to speak. That and i wanted a new G21 too

What are you showing him? You don't have a pistol grip so yours is definatly ok. Unless you're saying switch stocks.
