The easiest way to remove the plug is to unscrew the magazine tube cap, then press the end of the magazine tube down against something soft, and then insert 3 shells into the magazine. Everything will just slide right out the end of the magazine tube and you're in business with no tools to buy!

922® only applies to imported semi-automatic rifles and shotguns. You can make whatever mods you want to a Nova or SuperNova and be in the clear because it's a pump action design. Have fun!!!

I was in Gander Mtn. this week and saw a SuperNova slug gun with the rifle sites for $670, or there about. If the barrel is 1/2 the cost of the gun, I'd go with the barrel. If it is more than 1/2, then I'd buy the whole gun.

Hi all! Looking to buy my first Benelli and before I drive 4 hrs to the closest dealer I had a few "Nova vs SuperNova". From what I can gather from the website..
1. The SuperNova has the comfort tech stock which comes with the additional check and recoil pads. I have heard the comfortech stock really reduces recoil but I have also heard the gel is hard as rock like Beretta's. I usually chuck the stock recoil pad on all my guns for either a pre-fit limbsaver or Kickeez. Is the pad and cheek piece the only benefit to the comfot tech stock?
2. Are the frames, barrels and internals all the same ..or same design?
3. The Nova has a slimmer forearm, while the SuperNova has a different trigger guard?
4. What else am I missing. Anyone buy a Nova and wish they got the SuperNova, or vice versa?
This will be my "duck gun mud all-weather abuse" shotgun. Right now I'm leaning towards a Nova with limbsaver, not sure if I want a 26 or 28" bbl as I have heard the 26" swing like a remington 870 28"
1. No, the SuperNova comes with shims so you can adjust the drop and length of pull on the stock. The Nova's stock and receiver are all one piece. You can change stocks on the SuperNova and put on a SteadyGrip, if you ever want to. With the Nova, it will always be what it is.
2. The SuperNova has a slightly different receiver (probably just cosmetic). The big difference is the SuperNova is moduler (you can remove the stock), while the Nova the stock and receiver are one piece. The bolt, barrel, etc. are the same. The trigger housing is different on the two guns.
3. The forearm on both guns is the same.
4. I'd spend the extra money and get the SuperNova. It's more flexible, given the modular nature of it, and you don't give up any of the features of the Nova. It's worth the $100 in my mind.

The answer is, well, sort of. If you have the H2O model with the 2 shot extension, you should be able to put 7 rounds of 2 3/4" in the magazine. The stock magazine capacity is listed as 4+1, so the extension you have really is a 3 shot extension (for 2 3/4" shells anyway). I've got the same exact gun, except mine is the tactical model with the ghost ring sights. I like it so much, I was thinking of adding the H2O model just for fun. These **** guns are addictive. Enjoy your gun knowing you’ve bought the best!

I'm thinking of getting a Benelli M1 Tactical (18.5" barrel, ghost ring sights, and a pistol grip). If I buy this gun, I'm really going to want to take the factory 2 shot extension off and install a 4 shot extension (bringing the total capacity to 8 rounds). I'm afraid that this is illegal (even though the AWB has expired) because the Benelli M1 Tactical is an imported weapon it must adhere to the 1990 importation ban. I believe this is the law that makes it illegal to import or assemble an imported non-sporting weapon. This is the same law that made it illegal for pistol gripped AK-47s, FAL, etc to be imported (without 10 US made components).
I have seen some pictures posted on the Internet of Benelli M1, M3, and M4 guns with pistol grips and extended magazines, but I'm afraid to do it myself without knowing for sure if it is legal or not.
So, can anyone help me? Is the M1 Tactical with a pistol grip legal for civilian use if it has a magazine extension on it (7+1 capacity)?

I use Hoppe's powder solvent to clean all of the internals off, and then some Tetra Gun Grease on the bolt (especially the rotating bolt head), the action rails, and on the choke tube threads. I do this routine after every time to the range.
