  1. STA,

The barrel changes are just the same changes that I see from my M1 Tac and Field barrels to the M2 Field barrel that I bought last year! By the way, my M1 and M2 barrels will interchange between both guns.

  2. Ben,

If the mag ext is the Benelli ext like the M1 ext, you should take the spring and place it over a shotgun cleaning rod and then compress the spring. The new spring is very long and doing the above will appear to shorten the spring and make easer the inserting into the mag tube and ext. Place the new shortened spring into the mag tube making sure that the old cap is still inside the tube faceing the receiver. Put the new shallow cap inside of the new ext tube with the spring and place the tube onto the gun making sure that the spring does not catch between the two tubes when screwing them together. Hope this helps!

I just bought a 3-4 shot mag extension for my SBE. Any tips on how to get that flamin' spring in the tube? And is it only one plastic insert that holds it in place?

I am assuming you insert this plastic stopper and then try and join the whole lot together.

    Any help appreciated

  4. I believe that the SBEII and the M2 use the same type of choke! My M2 uses the Optima-Plus Beretta choke tube that my AL391 uses. Beretta said nothing in their book about useing ICE on their choke tubes as Benelli does!!!!!!!!!!

  5. I have both an M1 and the M2. (M1 is a Tac.)

The barrels will interchange and the bolts look like they will also. The stocks and trigger asm. will not! I was told that the forearms will not exchange and have not tryed them as I have no need to.

    Get both and see.

  6. This may be out in the left field some, but I have a M1 TAC with the 18.5" barrel and it will function without any problems using the 1oz load of FEDERAL Game-Shok. A 3 1/4 Dram EQ load that produces 1200 FPS in by Beretta 391 with a 28" barrel. Several people have used the gun with that shell/load and no problems. Short barrel, light 1oz load and 1200 fps (in a 28" barrel) and no problems in a new gun during the first 150 rounds. Don't expect it to develope problems as the gun wears in.

From the above, I would expect an SBEII to operate well with a 1 oz load. Maybe I have missed something though!

Not one hiccup yet, it has cycled everything from those small loads up to 3 1/2" BBs. Man I love this gun, couldn't be happier with it.

Glad to hear your gun is working so well. Mine will cycle 1 and 1 1/8 oz loads, but not consistently at all. It makes me wonder if there isn't something wrong with mine. Perhaps a change was made between the SBE1 and SBE2...
