Well the buyer honored his bid and is the happy owner of an extension that he cannot get anywhere else. Funny thing was, literally an hour after I mailed it off to him, I got a call from my dealer saying an M4 with my name on it had just arrived at the shop and it was mine for $1399. Then it dawned on me that I had already passed on the M1014, and where the heck was I to get an extension--and be darned if I were going to own one without it. All things considered, I would have paid a premium for an extension just as I would any other high demand and low supply item. And although there are alternatives out there being made, they are not factory. Cool for a working gun, but one as an investment piece or for someone that likes things original--they just do not compare.
Good reading and food for good thought.

I hope so too. I was very, very suprised by the result--happily so if everything works out. I really just wanted to get rid of it since I held off on buying an M4 with my move to Alaska coming up at the end of January.
Never figured it would stir up so much fuss though.

Another board member said they could not find the ebay add under Benelli M4. Not sure if I can post the add in here, but the item number is 7206815919. I was able to pull it up by seaching the number without any problem.

I actually just listed one on ebay I purchased from cals when I was looking at buying a M1014. I listed it no reserve starting for less than I paid.
Found out I was moving to Alaska and decided to make do with my M1 tactical and get another Freedom Arms. So, I have a mag extension and no gun to go with it. Simply do a search for Benelli M4 on ebay and you will find it.
Thanks,

Sorry, confirmed the gun I am looking at is the 11701 Limited edition. So, scratch the stock question--really only need to know about the mag tube. And what a fair price for such a gun NIB would be.
Thanks again,

Newby here--so howdy all!
I have a chance to pick up a 1 of 2500 shotguns, just waiting to hear whether it is a 11703 or 11707. It is a gun that another fella purchased new and has never fired and now is getting rid of--fair price would be what?
My main question is about the 2+ mag extension vs. the full length tubes. Which do the guns that everyone is waiting for have? Will they come with a full length, smooth, mag tube or with the +2 plus extension already installed? I like the looks of the smooth one piece tube and wanted to know whether the new imports--once they actually start coming in--will have these or not.
What other differences are there between the new guns we are expecting--hopefully before Christmas 2008--and the Model 11707 with swapped stock and mag extension?
What is a fair price for a new 11703 or 11707?
Thanks,
Bill
Just FYI -- Saw an M4 on the Shelf for Sale

For those out there still looking for a M4, I saw one on the shelf for sale at D-Rays Sporting Goods on Forest Lane in Dallas, Texas. They ordered it for someone who decided to pass on it. It was marked $1399.
Their sister store, Rays has another one on hold for me through the weekend while I make up mind whether to get it or pass. If I pass, it should be available at the same price.
No affiliation with the shop--just FYI for those still in need.
