  1. :eek:ALWAYS,ALWAYS...STICK TO THE RECIPE. NEVER ALTER IT, THERE IS A REASON FOR EVERYTHING IN IT.YOUR GUN MAY SHOOT AN ALTERED LOAD 1000 TIMES WITHOUT FAIL, BUT IT MAY BE WEAKING IT WITH EVERY SHOT YOU TAKE AS WELL. YOU MAY NOT GET TO TELL ANYONE ABOUT THAT 1001 SHOT THAT WENT WRONG.

NOT MENTION VOIDING THE WARRENTY ON YOUR GUN,AS WELL AS POSSIBLY ENDANGERING YOURS OR SOMEONE ELSES LIFE.

  2. yes a coach gun is a side by side double with twin hammers and 18" barrels. they are a lot of fun. and if you pull off both barrels at the same time it makes the pattern spread like mad. they were normally greener 10 ga in the 1850-70s.made a mess at close range.

they have them on gunbroker.com, originals are very expensive.reproductions are not too high and they can even be had in 410.

  3. heck. buy an old double barrel coach gun. i see the problem with a longer barrel, and some will disagree. but never hunt your intruder unless your kids bedroom is on the oppositte side of the house from yours. let him find you.if your moving around, he is likly to hear you and hide.

improve the security of your home so that its next to impossible to gain entry. its not hard to do and wont cost much more if any than another barrel.

    just a thought.

Cleefurd....i am sorry for your lose my friend,i lost a 5yr old to a drunk driver in 91. i know your pain.

  4. they are a lot cheaper to reload too. if you get in to that like i do. heres the deal, 12 ga -1oz of shot @1100fps, 20ga -1oz of shot @1100fps.......whats the diff????;) and you can get 1.1/4 loads for the 20 as well.

myself i cant chose. thats why i have both.:p

  5. try www.natchezss.com ,they cant be beat on prices. i got a simmons 6x24x50 for my 7mm mag for $65.00 plus sh. it is a bad azz scope i replaced my leupold 4x10x44 with it and im not sorry.the simmons is clearer than the leupold. they have every scope you can name including Zeiss if you want to get really elaborate.you dont need to spend a fortune to get a good scope, unless your just big on the names.

  6. after having done a little research on this subject, the 3.5 12 ga was introduced as close facsemily to the 10 ga.12 ga 3.5 loads can be bought with 1 5/8,1 7/8, and 2oz loads.while the 10 ga varys from 1 7/8oz -2 1/4oz.while patterns dont vary much between the 10 and the 12ga.the 12 is a bit more user friendly due to its being lighter, as well as a much wider use of applications and choices of ammo.[after all you would not want hunt dove and quail with a 10 ga.]

but i also found out that 3" loads can be had up to 1 7/8oz as well.

but just to set the record straight. heavy loads generally use less powder, not more.due to the fact that the heavy loads take less powder to create higher pressures. even this depends on the powder used.

  7. i have an AL-48 Franchi 20 that i love.if a person knows how to shoot a shotgun, i cant see what it matters what gauge you shoot.my wife has a 410 Fausti o/u. and i can bust as many clays on the five stand with it as i can my 12 ga or 20ga.most of the guys that shoot trap at the Ft Worth skeet n trap club shoot 28 ga.

  8.

Coolest thing since sliced bread in my opinion.

thats about the cheapest looking thing ive ever seen. why do i feel like predicting a LOT of problems with it?????

  9. You couldent catch me walking in your shoes ,first of all i wouldent shoot anything out of season :p and secondly its like you are braging about all the times you have , never bring a knife to a gun fight  WALK IN YOUR SHOES
