  1. Um thats not good, all you need to do is throw a shell in the chamber, pump it and pull the trigger. Only one safety no internal safety. I would strip the entire gun and make sure everything is installed correctly, it might have been put together incorrectly or got jammed somehow.

  2. I would like to remove the plug from my benelli super sport, for the reason of shooting sporting clays. I would like to be able to have 5 shots instead of 3 if there is anyway that i can do this please let me know.

    Thanks

I have a nova tactical not a super sport but sure it's pretty much the same procedure. Remove the magazine cap and use some needle nose and remove the magazine stopper. Place a screw driver into the magazine so the spring doesn't fly into your face when you pull the stopper out with the pliers.

  3. On top, just in front of the rear sight there are 4 pre drilled holes in the receiver. They have rubber plugs in them that can be pushed out from the inside, you have to take the trigger mechanism out. then wa-la. The rail sits on top and screws down into it from the top. I'm pretty sure it is no different on a nova, here is a link to s nova with a rail, looks pretty spiffy too!

Thanks for the reply man, but the nova doesn't have the pre-drilled holes it must be only on the SuperNova. That link you posted i've seen before and it is a nova tactical with a rail so i guess a gunsmith is the way i will need to go.

  4. Is this what you had in mind? I have the TacStar mag extension and the Mesa 6 shell holder you mentioned. Also, you might want to consider getting an elastic shell holder for the butt stock until you are ready for the red dot. I have one as shown in this pic I picked up for $9.99 and stays on very well. I rarely leave it on the gun tho, 12 shells is a bit overkill and heavy :)

How did you mount the rail on the Nova? I'm going to get one eventually but figured i needed to go to a gunsmith, i've got the nova tactical not supernova so mayber there is a difference.

  5. When you put the pad on your tactical,is it the same size as the pad you took off?If so then it is a larger pad than the pad on the Supernova Steadygrip.Myself and a few others here have been trying to find a replacement pad for the one that comes on the steadygrip Supernova.

Yes the LimbSaver pad is the same size as the pad that comes on the tactical nova. Not sure about the SuperNova Steadygrip hope you can find one that works. I brought the pad from my Nova into a couple stores and took all the LimbSavers out until i found the one that matched up.

  6. About the Limbsaver recoil pad, on the limbsaver site they do not list a pop in pad for the Nova Tactical,in fact they specify non tactical, is there a pad that will work or will I have to go with the slip on pad? Or will the gel pads on the benelli site work in my tactical?

I spent a good amount of time trying to figure this out and finally found what worked. You want part 10402, there is a plastic piece that is tough to fit into the stock but after some shuffling around it will snap in, trust me. You will need to buy some screws because the tactical nova has no screws in the stock pad. Screw the pad to the plastic piece you worked into place and your set. The screws recess all the way into the pad so you wont see them. Don't get part 10401 or 10400 you want 10402. Looks alot better then the slip on pad. Just takes some patience and some handywork.

  7. I've got the standard synthetic stock for the nova, so part #10401 may fit. In regards to CH's response I looked at the cross reference chart it only has "tactical" for other Benelli model's not the Nova so it doesn't really give me the answer. Anyways thanks for the responses guys.

  8. Has anyone installed a LimbSaver on a Nova Tactical? I have looked and they say for Nova and Supernova but I'm not sure about my Nova Tactical. Will the regular Nova Limbsaver fit?

  9. Ok I must be retarded because i've read the owners manual and every post on this forum about how to remove the magazine limiting plug from my nova 12g but i have yet to be able to figure it out.

I remove the magazine end cap and the barrell to guard against scratching. Do i use needle nose pliers to squeeze the red hex end behind the end cap? I guess i'm confused on what the retaining ring is that your suppost to squeeze to allow for the spring to come out of the mag? is that behind the end cap? Sorry just bought the shotgun and have only had expierence with handguns so i'm lost. :)

On a side note I went and shot the gun the day i bought it and love the thing, wish i wouldn't have waited so long to make the purchase.
