  1. ive heard it was available at macks on a test basis as well. but that neither here nor there. im curious as to how this performs. i like the idea of havin more shot in a 3" shell. i wouls think the hex shot would lose velocity rather quickly. debating on this stuff or heavy metal.

  2. i have a kicks high flyer full choke for sale. fits SBE2, M2, and Vinci. ok for steel shot. patterned real nice out of my vinci. only a couple boxes through it, but im gonna try a set of custom chokes. was 60 new will sell for 40 to your door.

  3. i have a kicks high flyer choke (full) for SBE2, M2, Vinci. full choke ok for steel. only a couple boxes through it. patterned real good out of my vinci, just going to get some custom chokes. was 60 new will sell for 40 to your door.

  4. called benelli today and was told that is how the vinci safety is susposed to function. not a problem according to them. now to decide whats more important, storing the gun with the safety on and tension on the spring or safety off with tension relieved. hhhmmmmmmmm.

  5. 1) You can manually toggle the safety button (on the trigger guard) no matter the position of the firing pin or its spring. In other words, you can always engage or disengage the safety.

Spike are you sure about this?

My Vinci safety will not go on if i dry fire my gun.

thats my concern. with it on safe i cannot puul the trigger, no problem there. i put it to fire, dry fire to relieve spring pressure, then i cannot put it back to safe without re-cocking it. my question is this a properly working safety or do i have an issue that needs attention.

  6. heard alot of conflicting opinions on this matter. with waterfowling season over and the dead of vinter here in wisconsin my vinci will be stored for a good while before i use her again. i dry fired it to relieve the spring tension and i cant put it to safe unless i cock it again. is this normal or is it a problem with the safety? ive read other guys had safety issues with their vinci but i never had one in the field. just this one. it may not even be a problem, just want to be sure. thanks.

  7. just read your link. the guy they talked to, rob roberts gun works, is who im sending my vinci to for forcing cone job and getting a couple chokes from him. now im not even close to an expert but from what ive read barrel porting is not worth it. i dont think it would be good in a blind. just makes it louder. i dont see a need for a trigger job on my gun. seems fine to me. and dont benelli come cryo treated?

  8. That's no goldeneye.

    It's a hen Hooded Merganser.

It's a fish eater. Thus the saw-toothed bill.

Trust me. Destroying it to the point that there were no edible parts was a blessing. :D

i said i got one that looked SIMILAR. and we THINK MINE was a hen goldeneye. im no expert and its no surprise i was wrong. i too am new to this sport. this was my first year. that was the only duck other than drake mallards i got this year. it amazes me how people can ID ducks in flight. i guess thats something that takes time. i havent been in a situation that i had a chance of takin over my limit on a certain species so if it was a duck i pulled the trigger.
