  1. DIY, it's only about a 15min job, real easy. Melting point oem loctite is 253 deg. You dont need two hands. One hand to hold the gun and one to twist the barrel at 253 deg.

Show us a picture of your Benelli M4 with the extention tube you put on. I myself have peace of mind knowing that I didn't screw anything up trying to install the tube myself.

  2. April 8, 2013 12:30 PM Pacific Standard Time. I just got the phone with customer service again and this guy said Benelli strongly recomends using the Improved Cylinder Choke for 00 buck and slugs. Just thought I'd pass it on.

  3. Thanks for the responce. I just unscrewed the choke on my M4 on the side of the choke it reads Steel Shot OK-M- XXX. According to the manual it's a Modified choke, if it has X it's a full choke if it has XX it's a Improved Modified choke, if it has XXXX it's a Improved Cylinder choke and if it has XXXXX it's a skeet choke. Plus it has three notches on top of the choke letting me know I have a Modified choke, two notches Improved Modified choke etc. I still don't know if I can use 00 buck or slugs.

  4. This is my first Benelli M4 I plan on using 00 buck and slugs. I called Benelli and customer service said NOT to use the choke that came with my M4 for 00 buck or slugs. I didn't like her attitude so I said thank you goodbye. So here I am. Can someone please tell me what choke I should use for 00 buck and slugs and what type of 12ga shells do I use with the original choke? Thanks

  5. I'm new to this Benelli forum I hope you don't mind me asking all these questions. Are you using the original choke that came with your M4 to shoot slugs? I haven't shot my M4 yet, I'll be shooting 00 buck and slugs.

  6. Does the FFT medium size charging handle weigh more or less than the original Benelli M4 charging handle? I'm wondering if the new weight of the charging handle had any affect on the chambering and extraction of the shells.

  7. I called Dave today at DMW he told me how to remove the new spring and replace it with the original Benelli spring. Great news!!! My M4 with the DMW tube extention is now taking 7+1. What a bear to put that spring back in. Just thought I'd let you know.

  8. This is my first Benelli M4, I had a DMW 7 round extention tube installed by Dave a couple of days ago. I've only been able to put 6 shells in the tube, I cannot completely load the 7th shell. Is there something I can do to fix this problem or do I Call DMW? The reason I'm asking this question on this forum is because maybe other guys with M4 extention tubes have this same problem. Thanks:cool:
