Expect it to creep up into the 1200-1600 dollar range for a complete M4 with all accessories done.
I think the velcro adhesive will stick alright to the NP3 finish. Just be sure to wipe the receiver down multiple times with alcohol to remove any surface contaminants.
Thanks for the heads-up on the final cost. And for your input on the adhesive sticking to NP3.

What’s the cost to have the M4 completely NP3 coated?
When I spoke w/ Wright Armory week before last a rough estimate was about $700-$800 but that included chemical stripping and disassembly/reassembly.
I spoke to them on Tuesday but now I want to include aftermarket parts for NP3 plating, open up the loading port and reassemble w/ the aftermarket parts and I was told they would need to have everything there to give an estimate.

Send it first worry about shell carrier later.
Priority to np3, imho.
I take your point; thanks for the input.

I’m considering sending my M4 to Wright Armory to have it NP3 plated before the October 15th deadline. Does anyone know if sidesaddle shell carriers that use adhesive, such as EssTac or Aridus Industries, to attach the carrier to the receiver will stick to an NP3 plated surface? If not, can the NP3 be “prepped” some how to allow the adhesive to stick? I did a search and I can’t find any info on this topic. Obviously, I am running out of time if I want to get one of the last opportunities for NP3 plating. Any firsthand experience is greatly appreciated.
TIA

Her name is chips. We rescued her about 6 months ago from the Kansas humane society. She’s about a year old now and is a spaz, but a good dog. We think she is a pit bull/lab mix. I try to always have her in the background of my gun pictures to add something special to the picture. She does like to run off after deer that sometimes come into our backyard though, hence the cable we have to use now. Lol
She looks good and definitely looks like she has some bully breed in her. Good on you for adopting her. A lot of people won’t touch a dog w/ any pit bull breeding in them, which is too bad. They are wonderful dogs when properly bred, raised, trained and owned.

The charging handle is cool but what about your dog. He is a good looking boy. Is he a Dogo?

It sounds like your buddy did not give it any maintenance while it sat in his safe either. Field strip it, clean and lube it and it will likely solve your problems. Mr Gunsandgear has a video on this very topic. Good luck.

A local gunsmith did the loading port work. It's opened ever so slightly.
I installed most of the aftermarket parts (CC mag tube, IWC mount, GG&G bolt release, Scalarworks mount, OEM Benelii night sights, Noveske QD Mount etc).
Anything that required tightening was done with a Whia torque driver to the manufacturer specs if available. If no spec was available torque was done with in tolerance of the fastener size for consistency and to eliminate over tightening. Blue loctite was used on all fasteners except for the Noveske mount, red was used there. I'm really meticulous when it comes to that stuff. The CC 7 round mag tube with installed with blue loctite 243.
Thanks for the info; the loading port was nicely done!

Did Wright Armory install the aftermarket parts and open up the loading port?
