Try pulling a little harder.
I recently purchased a new Benelli M4 and the removing the charging handle the first time was much stiffer than I expected.

I can't quite snug up the stock with the bolt that came with it. Unfortunately, the other bolts I have on hand are slightly too short.

Thank you for letting me know. I was thinking about buying a whole Turkish shotgun to get the wood furniture off it.

Heh, I'm in the opposite boat. I have a gun that has the replaceable chokes, and I would rather have the fixed choke model.
Back when I used to have a M1014 model, I fired slugs with out any issue. Still, your mileage may vary.

I know this is an old thread, but I feel the need to point out that Militec-1 is not recommended for use as a lubricant by the military and did not pass military testing and evaluation.
Here is one government report on the failures of miltec-1 https://www.gao.gov/assets/gao-09-735r.pdf
Here is a quote:
QuoteMILITEC-1 Did Not Pass Any Tests and Evaluations as a Small Arms Cleaner, Lubricant, and Preservative
On an unrelated note. Benelli's Ben-Oil appears to be rebranded MF-82. On their site they point out that they are Benelli's supplier.
Benelli M4 changes over time?

I hear there was a switch from a cast aluminum trigger housing to a plastic housing.
