pablo Posted October 20, 2004 Share Posted October 20, 2004 I've owned a 12ga monte for a few weeks with about 250 shells through it so far. To load the first shell, I lock the bolt using the trigger switch and then release it to load the shell using the button on the side of the receiver. (using 2 3/4 in shells) Occasionally, the bolt does not twist closed and the gun won't fire. Any tips on a fix? Thanks, Paul Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
wallhanger54 Posted October 21, 2004 Share Posted October 21, 2004 Make sure you have sufficient oil in the gun. The myth that "you dont need to oil a Benelli " is entirely false. Get some oil into the recoil assembly and put some oil on the bolt rails, it'll make a big difference. Also let the bolt slam shut, it's the way it's designed to work.
