Shellbelle Posted December 18, 2011 Share Posted December 18, 2011 I am looking at purchasing a 20 gauge shotgun for myself. I am 5'1" and have recently been told I have a 13 inch length of pull. I really like the black synthetic guns and would prefer the M2 because it was light weight and I liked the comfortech stock pad. However, the shortest length of pull available seems to be 13-7/8 which we are thinking is too long. Does anyone know if they can be cut down? I would take it to a professional. I am just getting a lot of mixed messages on if it can even be done. I am a beginning shooter and what we have recently learned is that because I've been shooting guns that are too long I've picked up some weird habits. Hookster Posted December 18, 2011 Share Posted December 18, 2011 (edited) Hi Shellbelle, There was a post with pictures quite awhile back from someone that did a good looking job of shortening. If I recall correctly they had to re-establish some blocks in the end to screw the recoil pad into and shave down the pad to fit. So.....It can be done if you really want to retain the original stock. If I can find the post I'll let you know.
