how do i get the barrel off my mr1?1?!

I want to take off the barrel for cutting/re-crowning, I get as far as the steel nut with the dent on top of the Argo system, but after bending out the little notch made in the nut, I still can't break the nut free.. wtf?? U can't remove the barrel?
