Sbe3 hole in barrel

Hi I just bought a benelli sbe3 went duck hunting shoots amazing. I was cleaning the barrel and when looking down I notice a tiny hole on the upper part of inside the barrel. It looks like a hole from the rear pin. Just wanna know if it’s suppose to be a hole in the barrel or if they drilled it through on accident.
