question for those with a GG&G bolt release

i recently purchased a GG&G extended bolt release and after installing, i realized that the new bolt release only releases the bolt if i press on the left half of the pad (the side closest to the handgaurd). i was under the impression that regardless of where you press on the bolt release pad, it will drop the bolt. is that how it is supposed to work or is something wrong? for people who have a GG&G bolt release, do you have to press on the left half, or does it not matter where you press it? thanks in advance guys.

I have the GG&G on the M3, TTI on M2, & FFT M4 when the bolt is locked back it's partially raised. They all work the same way

I've been away from all things M4 for awhile.  Is this GG&G still the best?  Has anyone had that as well as the RXarms tab?  https://rxarms.com/products/benelli-m4-parts-and-accessories/benelli-m4-bolt-release-tab/  Which feels better and more 'combat ready'?

I have the RXarms Bolt Release tab (steel), as well as their Charging Handle (titanium) on my M4 for the past year. Love them both, great upgrades.
