Just a thought on a possible POI change with a Ti mag tube. The coefficient of thermal expansion of Ti alloy is 5.3 vs 7.0 ( 10-6 in/deg F). since the barrel is steel, there may be something going on with stress and barrel deflection in the vertical plane as the assembly heats up..... Would have to be very slight effect, indeed. And while we are on the subject of 7 rd mag tube weights... here is some info. Ti tube 5.3 oz. . One of my thin wall 4130 alloy steel tube 7.0 oz. For comparison, the factory 5rd with the dummy extension assembly weights 9.3oz Joe
