I ordered a Supersport several months ago. Since then I shot a friends SBE at the trap range. Found the button used to close and chamber the shell very stiff. After a 100 rounds my thumb was getting pretty sore. I went to all of the dealers in my area and tried the buttons on the guns they had. Same problem.
Tom Knapp responded to a query I had and said he replaced the close button. Am waiting to find out what kind. You would think that since he shoots the Benelli more than anyone else, the Benelli folks would fix this problem.
Does anyone know of a fix? Does it eventually wear in? 90% of my shooting will be on clays and fighting the button all day gets irksome.
He also said that Benelli is working on an adjustable comb for us trap shooters. One of the dealers locally said the comb on the new stocks already has this feature. Nothing in the catalogue.
Presently I am debating whether to wait for the fixes before actually buying the gun. If I do get it next month as promised wonder if I will have to buy a new stock or if the one it comes with can be altered.
