Last season was the first for the SBE and me. I was always having problems feeding the magazine. Result as you indicate-could get the shell in part way and no further. This would be happening in the blind wearing gloves after taking one or two shots. I can't remember how I would finally get the mag charged. But I was furstrated.
But, the problem dissappeared. I can't remember how or when I was able to normally insert a shell in the mag. But, I have no problems now. Maybe it was a "break-in" issue.
