Will the mercury recoil reducer work with the SBEII?

My NOVA came like that. I would think it has to be a defect. I made sure on the next gun it was right. Im not sure there is any recourse in this situation but I did not contact Benelli about it. Have you called customer service?

I pulled my pad off on purpose to find out how easy it would be to fall off. It seems mine is pretty secure.

Just got home with my sbe2. It felt like more recoil to me than the NOVA. But, to be honest, Ive only shot the nova at ducks and adrenaline probably kept me from noticing the recoil so much. Still the sbe2 is not that bad. I shot 6, 3.5s, 3 3's and 6 2 3/4 shells and all fed perfectly. My shoulder is a little sore but this is the first time this year I have felt the recoil of duck loads. Been bowhunting for 4 weeks. I shot all 6 2 3/4 at skeet and dusted all of them. I think Ill keep the gun.

Im 5'8" and 160 lbs. All the talk about recoil of inertia systems had me shying away from the SBE. But, I shot my nova with 3.5 inche shell all last season without any complaints. Im gonna stop being a wus and go for the sbeII.

Greetings, I am curious as to how the felt recoil compares between the nova and the SBEII using the same 3.5 inch shell. Anyone have experience with both? Thanks in advance
