I figured out what was wrong. The barrel was on too tight, after I backed off a little it was fine. I guess when they put it together at the store they just got it too tight. Once I got the red dots aligned it was fine. Thanks for the replies.

New r1 won't chamber shells properly, I've shot about 30 shells through it and about every other shell it gets stuck and I have to push it closed. Will this get better over time or is something wrong. Thanks
