I seem to be noticing some surface cracking in the butt pad on my super sport. Similar to dry rot in old tires. Is this a problem and will it become worse? I didn't know if I should return it (the pad) to Benelli. I can't shoot clays with out the pad any ideas?

Actually, I think my daughter likes the Legacy over the Teknys because it is lighter in the fore arm area. The gun is overall lighter than the beretta, but it is really noticable towards the muzzle

I bought one of the supersports for my son as a early grad. gift. After shooting a round of skeet with it I also had to have one. So, now I own two of them, (both 30"). In my opinion, the comfort tech system that can only be found in the composite stock (supersport vs. sport II) is worth every penny. The recoil on a "field load", 2.75" shell through the supersport is comparable to the 20 ga. 2.75""field load" in my Legacy. Granted, the wood is much more pleasing to the eye (sportII/Legacy), but if you plan on shooting clays or any other game where you need to shoot more often. get the supersport, btw.. my 14 year old, 100 lb. daughter has since layed claim to my 20 ga. legacy. She preferred it to my teknys 20 ga. telling me that the recoil was lighter.

I have a new supersport. The crio choke appears to be a duplicate for the optima choke (except cold treated). Can the optima choke be used as a replacement? Optima chokes are readily available.

I just picked up my sons new supersport sport last night. What a terrific looking shotgun. (haven't fired it yet). While inspecting it last night, I noticed a flaw in the Carbon paint scheme on the hand guard. It gives the hand guard several ghosty white smears in the finger grooves. It doesn't really bother me personally, but it is already eating at him. Will Benelli replace this as a warranty item? Since it doesn't effect the performance, I wasn't sure.
