  1. The Save-It base is easily removed by spraying WD-40 around it and waiting a few minutes. Of course, the next time you want to use it you'll have to reapply two-sided tape. They work well but the T&S is a better bet. Get one for a Beretta and have a notch cut into the bolt handle. Pretty slick.

    Rusty Barrel

A light coat of Naval Jelly might help. Not too much or the bluing may come off with it. Might consider getting the barrel treated with one of the tougher finishes available today to help with seawater corrosion.

    trap shooting

I've used mine at ATA shoots and haven't hit anybody yet. Some folks don't like empties dropping even remotely close to them. But as long as they're not hit don't worry. My SS tosses hulls inbetween me and the next shooter. If they don't like that, tough. If you're concerned put a rubberband on the gun just forward of the bolt handle. That'll catch them well enough but it can be a little time consuming to dig them out during a tournament. Best long lasting RB's are the thick, blue ones that celery comes wrapped in. Nobody makes a good shell catcher for the SS - yet.
  4. My new SS cycles 7/8oz. @1200fps reloads without problem. A friend uses Fiocchi 7/8oz. training rounds for skeet/SC and hasn't had any issues, either. [ 01-16-2005, 01:44 AM: Message edited by: dfm ]

    SS stocks

Are the carbon fiber stocks on the new SS really carbon fiber?
