  1. Why mess with a good thing. I now own two Montefeltro's (one for me and one for my wife) because I got tired of cleaning the mess from the gas guns that I owned. My gas guns also jammed rather frequently even though I cleaned them all the time. I used to take the forearm off my Gold and have to clean that nasty soot off the magazine and gas ports. No more of that for me. Inertia all the way in this house from now on.
  2. Not even considering the condition of the SBE, that is an interesting question. Their is quite a price difference between the Franchi and Benelli and they both are inertia driven. What are the differences that justify the cost? Me and my wife each have a Montefeltro. I did not look closely at the Franchi because I new the Benellis were good guns, but always wondered what I got for my extra money other than a lighter gun (which is really worth a lot).
  3. Benelli makes a forend cap as an accesory that has the sling swivel already on it. I bought that and a standard wood screw type swivel stud for the stock on my Montefeltro. Strange thing is that the Benelli forend cap is made for a sling with 3/4" webbing, so some modifications needed to be made on the sling also. My dealer ordered mine for me, Benelli might sell them directly also.
