  1. Every time you shoot your SBE, you set a world record. If it was possible, the SBE would throw out something like 200 rounds in two seconds (faster than an uzi).
  2. Can you say, "backorder". We'll all be happy campers, come 2007. Then again, the Cordoba's have been much more available than I had expected (unlike the Supersport debacle) so maybe Benelli will surprise us all. They listen to their customers/distributors more than most companies, it's just the 'availability timeline' that kills me. Do you know if you can you retrofit a Comfortech stock to an existing firearm?
  3. A modified choke with steel shot will pattern the same as an IM with lead. Steel will "pattern-up" one choke size. The reason that an IM or F choke isn't recommended for steel shot is that when the shot is over-constricted, you can deform the shot and get a blown pattern. You don't really gain anything by shooting steel from anything tighter than modified. You'll probably be fine when shooting 2 or 3 shot (or smaller) but you can mess up a barrel/choke shooting BB, BBB, or T from a tightly constricted choke unless you purchase an after-market choke specifically designed for larger shot.
  4. I can't imagine they'd limit themselves to only one caliber, but all I've heard as yet is that the initial Comfortech R1 will be 300 WM.
  5. I wish I could give you a link or something. I know for a fact that they'll be releasing the R1 Comfortech soon (hopefully before february) but that doesn't do you folks a whole lot of good, unless you really feel like trusting me (won't be offended if you don't, though ). I guess they've been being harassed a lot by our glorious BATFE lately about their high capacity shotguns, too. May want to pick one up if you've been waiting for the opportune moment. Apparently their tactical stuff is being examined with the scrutiny that only the ATF can provide, even though Benelli's imported them for YEARS. Not "sporting" enough for us silly civilians to handle, I guess. After all, firearms aren't meant for anything dangerous (mysterious music...fade to black). Such is such.
  6. Go with what fits you best. The way choke tubes are made today, you can more than compensate for a couple inches of barrel length (Benelli gives you five chokes with the gun). If you're mainly going to be wingshooting, I'd personally choose a shorter barrel because they swing better for me, despite the shorter sight radius. But that's just me...like I said, pick the gun that throws best for you.
  7. On a vine...one with grapes I haven't seen any press releases yet, so I guess it's still a rumor, but don't be too shocked to see it soon.
  8. Apparently Benelli's coming out with a synthetic R1 that has the Comfortech stock in .300 WM. I "hear" you can double tap the target with it.
