    SBE II POA

I just bought a new SBE II last weekend, and after taking it to the range noticed it patterns a little high. Any suggestions for a quick fix? I have dove and goose seasons coming shortly, and would like to have more of a 60/40 pattern. Thanks.
  2. Sorry for the missinformation. Wing Supply was the only retailer who had them in stock during the turkey season. I thought for sure they would have them after the turkey season. Stick with Mudhen, he's bought one, he would know better than I (obviously).
  3. http://www.wingsupply.com/shop/Scripts/prodViewSKU.asp?SKU=RHINO12 Butch, I think Wing Supply is the only place that has them in stock for the SBE II right now. I hope this helps.
  4. Turkeys have predators that attack them from the air, not so much the truth for deer. Turkeys tend to look up a lot more often than deer because of this fact. That being said I did call a hen and her flock in out of a treestand in fall one year, but I wasn't hunting them, so moving to get in position wasn't an issue. I would also suggest not using a scope on your turkey gun. I, like mudhen, like to see what is happening around the bird that I'm working. I started hunting turkeys ten years ago, and it is my favorite species to go after.
  5. This raises antoher question, do I need a 28" barrell? Would the 26" be okay for my dove, goose, crow, and turkey needs. I know most people on here seem to prefer the 28" for wingshooting for its smooth swing. Will it help me with my wingshooting significantly enough to notice?
  6. I do live relatively close to a Cabela's (1.5 hour drive), but is that gun going to be offered in a 28 inch. I read the press release, and I love that pattern too, but I didn't see anything about barrell length. Do you have any information about that?
  7. Great picture. I've been hunting with a black gun for years and haven't had a problem. Thanks for the encouraging advice.
  8. I am going to buy an SBE II this year, and I kind of like the longer 28" barrell. I have one on my Remington 11-87, and I am used to it. I will be using the gun to hunt geese, and also hunting turkeys. I have heard that turkeys can sometimes pick off hunters due to camo that doesn't blend in. The only camo for the 28" barrell SBE II is Max-4. I'm worried about how that will match in the mountains of WV where I hunt turkey. What do you guys think?
