  1. this may seem like a dumb question to you but i am a little confused about something... why am i not suposed to use steel shot w/ my "F" and "IM" chokes. It seems that the only reason why i would use these tighter grouping chokes is for larger game, and you can't hunt with lead shot.... What am i missing here? Thanks for any help at all, feel free to direct me to a previous post if this was gone over in the past. Thanks again cutler

    bulk ammo

My shooting partner and I plan on investing in a few cases of shotgun ammo for the next shooting year (clay pigeon tournaments). I am looking for suggestions on the best clay loads for my Cordoba. I thought I should research this a little so I don’t end up with $300 of less than antiquate loads. Any suggestions?
  3. I recently bought the Cordoba and really like the way it shoots, on the other hand I am somewhat interested in a shotgun w/ a slug barrel. Over thanksgiving I was visiting some relatives and found out that my cousin-in-law won a M2 in a big buck contest. He only shoots trap so he said he would trade if I wanted to. Now when It comes down to trading I don’t know what to do. Anyone shoot both these fine shotguns? If so.. What did you think of each? Likes dislikes….. I am using this shotgun for about 75% clays and 25% hunting. No particular game, I just love to hunt although the gun will end up going bang more at the sportsmen’s club than on the field.
  4. how do i find out whitch benelli shotguns accetp a 10 round mag extension
  5. ^^ i think thats funny how they jumped all over you (No offence) ……but anyway I didn’t start this thread to bicker like little old ladies, I love my Cordoba. There was just something on my local news last night brining up the idea of making my hunting area “shotgun only”. This about 2 weeks after I buy a cordoba…go figure Well anyway the Cordoba is a great firearm but again I really wish it had a slug option
  6. wile reading some posts here i am wondering if the lower the member number the more likely that the individual is employed with Benelli somehow. seeing that they are opposed to versatility and practicality and would rather see everyone buy 3 benelli shotguns. i am considering the fact that this forum is a good sales pitch for this companty and not a room to post conversations about shotguns.
  7. koolbreeze i think we are on our own here It is a hybrid shotgun, so why is it so "silly"?? Just because my Ford crown vic. isn't advertised pulling around a boat dosn't mean i cant pull my chris craft out of the water. and just because my SKS wasn't made for killing deer it still is going to nab me a buck this year i just think there should be an allaround shot gun and if the cordoba had a slug baral it would be.
  8. this is what originally got me to thinking more about it
  9. i don't see why not. i think it would be a great idea. not to mention this gun is suposed to be an all around shotgun and i paid $1400 for it [ 11-02-2005, 09:58 PM: Message edited by: cutler686 ]

    Cordoba

I shouldn't have been so harsh above. The cordoba is a beautiful shotgun. I just don't know.. What is the difference between the cordoba and the sport II??? The only thing i can see is the comfortech stock. i feel that the sport II looks real nice with the walnut but the cordoba looks like it would be more practical with the carbon fiber and the comfortech. but $1470 and $1600 is a big differance in a shotgun. Cordoba

i see it as being expensive... get the m2
  13. Tucker301 I know, I know they are not for light loads. On the other hand, I know that if I buy the Cordoba I will regret not getting a 3.5in and if I get the sbe2 and it doesn’t cycle when shooting trap I will be upset(to say the least). You seem to be recommending the 3in but when reading through some of your previous posts I found that you use your sbe2 for trap "My new SBEII has taken some getting used to over my old 870 pumper, but I'm swatting the ducks, geese, and clays pretty well now. By far, the most important thing is to have the weapon fit you well and to be comfortable with it."
  14. commando have you ever used your SBE for trapshooting?
  15. i understand this type of question is asked often but i am really in a jam I am seeking a new shotgun and am a little overwhelmed. I own an old Mossberg pump and an even older side by side double barrel and need to step it up. I am looking at a Benelli SBE2 or a SS Anyone have any other advice or recommendations. I just shot the legacy last night and liked it but i don't think i could bring it into the woods, its to pretty I am using it 50% trap shooting and 50% hunting (Pheasant, duck....). I am looking for something nice. i know i know i should just buy two shotguns but i just dont have that much $$$ to spend. any recomendations benelli or otherwise? Thanks much for any help at all, [ 09-21-2005, 09:22 PM: Message edited by: cutler686 ]
