How do I remove the plug? Is it pretty easy or something a gunsmith needs to do? I'm new to shotguns after firing a lot of rifles and pistols.

I've got the Benelli Nova Tactical in 12 ga. I've only been able to get 2 + 1 capacity out of it. Is this what it's round capacity is, or do I need to get this checked out. I bought it used without a manual. I thought it should handle more rounds.....
