Recently I traded in my Stoeger and an old 11-87 and had $800 in cabelas club points as well as a $500 gift card and was able to buy a new SBE3 in black at a cost of basically zero. I took it out of the box, cleaned it with a gun oil wipe, put it together, shot a box of 7.5 through it, wiped it down and put it in my gun safe. Today I pulled it out and it had red surface rust on the barrel near the magazine and had light pitting under that. I am perplexed by this and disappointed as well. I was wondering if anyone else had issues with the SBE3 being highly susceptible to corrosion? Thanks
